Description
The "Solar Power Manager Module with MPPT Solar Panel" from Makerfabs is a versatile and reliable solution for powering 3.7V systems, ideal for applications in agriculture and other long-term projects.
TThis module comes with a 1W 5.5V solar panel, capable of delivering up to 160mA under optimal conditions. It features two 18650 cell holders connected in parallel on the board, allowing for the installation of one or two batteries depending on your needs. For applications with an average current demand of less than 20mA, the standard solar panel is sufficient; for higher current requirements, a larger solar panel can be used.
The MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) charger ensures maximum efficiency by tracking the optimal charging voltage and current. The module can also be charged via a 5V~28V DC input, functioning as a standard LiPo battery charger. It outputs a stable 3.7V with a 2.0mm connector and includes a protective circuit (BMS).
Please note that for the activation of the BMS, after a lipo battery installed, a charging action is needed to normalize the battery output.
