Description
The Mabee Air Quality Monitor module is designed for indoor air quality detection, integrating advanced sensors to provide reliable and accurate measurements. Based on the SGP30 sensor, this module outputs TVOC (Total Volatile Organic Compounds) and CO2eq levels. Additionally, it incorporates the Sensirion SHT31 temperature and humidity sensor, delivering high accuracy readings with ±2% relative humidity and ±0.3°C temperature accuracy.
This integration makes it a perfect choice for indoor air quality detection. Unlike other TVOC/eCO2 testing boards that require users to obtain humidity and temperature readings separately or rely on default parameters, Makerfabs has combined the SGP30 and SHT31 sensors on the same board. This ensures simultaneous measurement of true humidity and temperature, which is crucial for accurate calibration and reliable TVOC/eCO2 testing. The hardware design includes a slot to thermally isolate the two sensors, preventing the SGP30's heat from affecting the SHT31's measurements, thus ensuring true environmental humidity and temperature readings.
