Description
The Makerfabs ESP32 C3 TFT Touch is equipped with the ESP32 C3, a single core Wi Fi and Bluetooth 5 (LE) microcontroller SoC. It is built around a 32 bit RISC V chip processor with a four stage pipeline that operates at up to 160 MHz, with 4MB Flash and 400KB SRAM. For a comparison of ESP chip families, see here.
As a member of the Makerfabs ESP Display family, this ESP32 C3 SPI 3.5 inch Touch has a resolution of 320x480, with an ILI9488 driver. Like other Makerfabs ESP32 displays, it features two USB connectors (one for a USB to UART converter and one native USB), an onboard SD card slot, and a Mabee connector (I2C), which is Seeedstudio Grove compatible. This makes it suitable for applications that require sensor connections.
Compared to other Makerfabs ESP32 displays, this TFT Touch is ideal for makers interested in the ESP32 C3 RISC V architecture rather than Tensilica and those who need Bluetooth LE (not classic Bluetooth). Makerfabs provides open access to all hardware design files for user modification and basic demo usage.
