Drive WS2812/Neopixel and APA102/Dotstar addressable RGB LED strips from your Pimoroni Yukon project with this 5V / 5A regulator with level-shifting.

Connect the data-in end of your addressable LED strip up to the module's convenient screw terminals to add colour to your project.

We used this module and some Neon-like RGB LED strip to equip our remote controlled rover with some light-up bling! ????

LED strips and connectors are sold separately.

Notes

  • Measurements: 24mm x 20mm x 13.7mm (L x W x H).
  • Two WS2812 strips can be driven off one module, by wiring one strip's data line to the DAT line as normal, and the other to the CLK line. Sneaky!
  • A maximum of 8 LED strips are supported by Yukon across all modules. Each strip uses a PIO state machine of the RP2040.

About Yukon

Yukon is a high-power modular robotics and engineering platform, built around Raspberry Pi's formidable RP2040 chip. It has slots for attaching interchangeable hardware modules for driving combinations of devices such as motors, servos, steppers, and LED strips, all from one board!

Featuring an XT30 connector, Yukon can be directly powered off 2 to 4 cell LiPo batteries (or any other 5 to 17V source), to deliver up to 15A continuous for your high-power projects. An e-Fuse with switchable output protects the board, along with voltage, current, and temperature sensors that can be monitored by your programs.
